Tolani Ogunyoku, M.A., LMHC, NCC
Tolani Ogunyoku is a Mental Health Therapist with over ten years of experience helping those in need. Tolani comes to us with a diverse range of work experience including: teaching English in South Korea, operating a homeless shelter in King County Washington, serving as a counselor and instructor at Highline College as well as working as a therapist for the Department of Corrections. Tolani brings with him a wealth of expertise and Knowledge working with highly resistant clients and their families suffering from loss and trauma. Tolani uses Motivational Interviewing as a method to help clients establish their own healthy identities. Tolani is originally from California and earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University before earning his master’s degree in Community Counseling from Seattle University. Tolani was awarded the Spirit of College of Education award when he graduated with his master’s degree. An award given to the student who embodies the ideals of the university the most in their respective graduating class. Tolani is a big sports fan and has coached middle school and high school boys’ basketball at a neighboring school for the last 2 years. In his free time, you will probably find Tolani spending time with friends, eating, playing sports or exercising.
